CNNIC Courting Bloggers With New Domain Registration Service

China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) started offering domain name registration service "Blog 2.0" on April 5, reports Beijing Morning Post. The service targets individual bloggers so that they no longer have to work with a Blog Service Provider (BSP). The report said that some .CN domain name registrars have started selling domain names to individual bloggers for four to five Yuan per year. Actress and popular blogger Xu Jinglei has her own personal domain at www.xujinglei.cn, which currently links to her blog on Sina (Nasdaq: SINA).
